Web3 Careers: Getting Started
Simple steps that can be taken to land your first job

GM friends š«”
The second newsletter is now officially out, and I want to teach all of you how to land your first Web3 job.
Before we fully dive into it, I appreciate all my 28 subscribers for following through and reading the previous newsletter.
Last week, I made a public promise that I would buy anyone a pizza if I donāt consistently post a newsletter once a week until the end of 2024.
So you can now hold me accountable and get yourself treated, but it wonāt happen because I am determined to make this work.
I publicly commit to writing one newsletter a week until the end of 2024
If I fail, the first person to call me out on it, I will buy you a pizza
This post is to keep me accountable no matter how hard it gets

How did I land my first job in Web3?
I have previously mentioned that my journey began in Web3 in 2018, but I pivoted full-time in 2021 by joining Rarible as a Community Support Engineer.
What helped me get that job was having 3 years of experience as a Technical Engineer in Web2.
However, a big factor was completing several online certificates which helped me stand out from the other candidates, and they hired me on the spot.
So itās important to mention that if you have experience in Web2 in a certain position, then itās much easier to pivot to Web3 as long as you have good knowledge of the degen culture and some proof that you understand the space and how the boring stuff works.
However, this newsletter is for those who are starting with ZERO prior experience and how you can slowly move towards landing your first job.
What are the most common Web3 jobs?
Worthy of mentioning is that this list will consist of unconventional and achievable gigs by anyone willing to put in the work.
So, donāt expect anything corporate or job ads on certain websites that require 10 years of experience to join as a junior.
Let me mention to you a few jobs that you can slowly work towards:
Reply Guy
Space Host
KOL Manager
Content Creator
X Growth Social Media Manager
The best thing is that all of these jobs can be easily achieved by simply running your own personal brand on X (Twitter)!
If these jobs are so common, how can I begin?
Even though getting any of these opportunities will require running your own personal brand, this newsletter is not about how to grow your personal account, but rather an idea of how you can work towards getting there.
But out of simplicity, you will need to do the following:
3 DMs a day
2 tweets a day
1 thread a week
50 to 75 replies a day
This should seriously get the ball rolling, especially if you remain consistent and do not quit when results are not showing in 1-2 months.
Make it a longer time horizon, itās a marathon, not a sprint!
But how do you actually land those jobs?
Let me provide you with some simple feedback on each of the roles.
Reply Guy: If you are performing 50 to 75 replies a day and they are absolute bangers, eventually you may see others hiring for this position on your timeline, or you can always suggest yourself to people you have met through sending 2 DMs a day.
